What is the Hudson Valley Bike Ride?

Founded in 2008 by Jewish Board Trustee Tony Mann, the Hudson Valley Bike Ride is one of The Jewish Board's most successful fundraising events. The Ride helps The Jewish Board deliver on its mission of helping New Yorkers of all backgrounds realize their potential and live as independently as possible.

The Hudson Valley Bike Ride is designed to be enjoyed by teams of riders, families, or individuals who want to take advantage of a great course while cycling to help New Yorkers in need. During the ride, cyclists pedal through the scenic byways of Upper Westchester, enjoying the leafy countryside. Tasty snacks and beverages at rest stops help everyone pace themselves. And after the ride, the fun continues with a festive BBQ, massages, and more.

When and Where is the Ride?

The Hudson Valley Bike Ride is on Sunday, September 17, 2017. The Ride starts at Purchase College, located at 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577 — directly across from the entrance to the Pepsi corporate offices.

How Difficult is the Ride?

The Ride has something for everyone; participants can choose the distance that best fits their skill level and interest. Families and casual riders can enjoy a 10 mile course, while more experienced riders can tackle challenging 25 or 62 mile courses.

For information on start times and the course, please review the Day of the Ride information.

Where Does the Money Raised Go?

Money raised by The Jewish Board's Hudson Valley Bike Ride helps The Jewish Board to deliver programs that communities from as far north as Westchester County to as far south as Staten Island have come to depend upon.

These programs include community mental health clinics, treatment programs for at-risk youth, training for mental health professionals, residential treatment centers for adults with mental illness and the developmentally disabled, therapy in group and individual sessions for single parents and anyone struggling with grief following the loss of a loved one. These are just a few of the many programs that require support.
