Dear Friends,

Welcome to The Jewish Board’s Ninth Annual Hudson Valley Bike Ride! I am delighted to greet our returning riders and want to extend a warm welcome and thanks to those riders who are joining us for the first time.

To those who may be considering riding this year, let me take a moment to tell you why I think you should join us on September 17. My service to The Jewish Board began more than 25 years ago as a volunteer working with programs serving youth in foster care. I founded this bike ride in 2008 to celebrate the work of The Jewish Board, to promote the importance of both mental and physical health, and to raise money in support of programs helping people of all backgrounds lead healthier and more independent lives.

The challenges our clients and their families face are considerable, ranging from mental illnesses to developmental disabilities, economic challenges, and homelessness. Since the Hudson Valley Bike Ride started, we have raised over $5 million to help The Jewish Board address these issues. Every rider now owns a part of that incredible success, and my hope is that we will continue to come together to have fun, reach for a goal, and make our communities within New York City and Westchester better places for each and every person.

Thank you in advance for your efforts to help us provide a hopeful and healthy future for all New Yorkers. I very much look forward to meeting and riding with you on Sunday, September 17!
